2024: Week 46

A mixture of digital and film this week. This post is probably too heavy on the photo front, but I’m in the mood for oversharing.

For anyone following along, pretty much identical to last week, the total distance walked clocked in at 46.03km/28.6miles.

Had a couple of walks around Glasgow. The first was with Kev, who brought his Mamiya 7 along to do some long exposure shots. The fog had just rolled in, so we took the time to keep to quieter areas.

I only thought we’d hang out for an hour or so, but the light went and we just kept on walking, with Kev’s exposure times going up from seconds to minutes.

Mid-week visit to the beach, as per usual. I didn’t bother taking many photos, as the light was all but gone when we’d arrived. Though I did just catch the tail end of the sunset highlighting some of the sea water left on the beach.

Sunset/Monochrom sensor… ehhhhh.

Ventured through to Largs on the train, solo. Went to meet Steven, and walk up a little hill near his bit. This was the first proper day of sunshine I’ve had since the storm a couple weeks back.

My second day in the city, this time with Michael and Baz. Michael wanted to wander the city shooting street art so I took the Hasselblad as again I couldn’t be arsed with the usual street photography stuff.

My results were less than desirable, but here’s some of the not totally shit ones.

This brings us to Saturday night - it’s RARE that me and Robyn go out together on a night, especially into the city. Having dogs doesn’t necessarily make that the easiest thing in the world, but also we’re just a bit reclusive. It’s something to work on.

We made an appearance south side for a few drinks with Chris before heading off into the city to meet Bryan and Rachael (and various other new faces who kept the drinks flowing).

Cut to the morning after and I feel fucking shit.

A beach walk was needed.
