2024: Week 49

I’ve performed way worse than I’d hoped I would after the short distance I managed last week, and so it’s probably useless being bothered by not meeting my weekly walking goals while Christmas fast approaches.

I struggle to make proper time for myself, and with the constant back and forth of plans during the Christmas period I genuinely just cannot be fucked to even try anymore. I will simply just get out whenever I am able to, and not focus on the numbers for the rest of the month.

As a result of not getting out, I’ve obviously not taken too many photos… and I’m aware this post is all sounding a bit of a downer, but it’s not supposed to be, it’s fine!

I finished off a couple rolls of film (some Portra 800, which may be my last colour roll of the year!) and some Delta 400 which, as it happens, looks like fucking arse when pushed. I suspect the roll was also expired which won’t have helped, but aye... Kentmere 400 for me going forward!

Anyway, photos!

I finally found a new flash that I like. You can see more photos and my thoughts on it on my blog post here: is the new Godox IM30 Flash any good?

With us not going back to our home towns for Christmas this year (a first!), we’re going to make the most of being in the flat as a family. This meant Robyn put the decorations up a little earlier this year…

With not going south, this means that (storms permitting) some family are taking some time to come and visit us. This week we had Robyn’s mum and youngest brother come to stay for a few days. This involved a visit to the iconic abandoned St Peter’s Seminary in Cardross which is basically a stones throw away from us in Paisley.

And the beach, of course (both our families are from the seaside).
