Saltwick Bay with Robyn

Before I buggered off to Glasgow, I headed to Robyns and we drove out to Saltwick Bay for a walk along the beach with the dogs.

Recently, part of the cliffs collapsed and crushed a 9 year old girl. So a lot of it had changed since the last time I was there. Perhaps because we’re stupid we got maybe a little too close to the cliffs as they were still very much crumbling around us, but Robyn did find some cool fossils though.

The tide was starting to come in by the time we arrived, and it got dark quick. So here’s a few photos from the day.

You Used To Call Me From A Phone Box: Limited Edition Zine

It’s been a long time coming, and I’m finally catching up on some projects I’ve had in the works for a while.

YOU USED TO CALL ME FROM A PHONE BOX

The zine is 24 pages, full colour, and features photographs of trashed phone boxes in Glasgow.

This is a strictly limited run of 25, they’re all signed & numbered by hand, and one can be yours for £7.50.

I don’t have an online shop to rely on, so if you’re interested then email me or get in touch over my Facebook page and I’ll fire over my bank details in return!

Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

To Nottingham with Alium Cult.

I’ve neglected this blog a little recently because I’ve been pushing my OnlyFans and doing other shit and I am only one person. So forgive me, and here we go with some words and photos coming right the fuck at you.

This weekend I headed down to Nottingham to shoot a bunch of content for Alium Cult – a collective of models identifying as disabled, intersectional feminists. Their goal is to provide a positive, safe and inclusive community for those of all abilities. Want to know more? Check out their website here and support ‘em via Patreon here!

I arrived in Nottingham and I think this is my first day time visit having only ever passed through on a night bus. As we headed straight to the airbnb I didn’t really get chance to experience it properly, as my first impressions were that it resembled a second hand Sheffield… maybe I’ll have to go back and give it a fair go.

The plan was for those able to to arrive at 4pm and we’d all crack on with the shoots in the different rooms available to us. Unfortunately, plans don’t always go as expected and with some last minute cancellations and everyone else running late, me and Sarah just cracked on and shot a set of photos making the most of the house being empty.

Annoyingly my card corrupted itself which I think is the first time this has happened at a shoot so I chucked it to the side incase I could recover the files later and used a spare for the rest of the shoots. Obviously as this is a photo blog I did recover some files! So here’s a couple.

Dalby Forest.

I haven’t actively been out to take photos since Wales and yesterday was the first time I actually felt like picking up my camera since then. I found a double that I forgot I had laying around of the lens I threw in the sea, so that was a nice surprise, but my 18 f2 is still missing…

I headed to meet Robyn and the dogs with the 35.

Robyn, Dalby-1

It was pissing it down when I set off, but the sun came out in full force by the time we were walking.

I took a bunch of photos and only got a handful that are passable for the blog, but I’m not gonna dwell on that because at least I’m getting out again.

Goodbye Patreon, Hello OnlyFans.

A message I left over on my Patreon before leaving:

A huge thank you to current and former patrons for taking the time to support me and my photography since opening this account in April 2017.

The financial help has added up significantly over the past 15 months and without you, I simply wouldn’t have been able to take care of the things I have month-by-month in order to travel to the places I have done.

I’ve travelled literal thousands of miles, photographed so many people, and had more rad experiences than I can count.

My decision to leave Patreon has come due to the increasing pressure models and sex workers face making it difficult for them to earn a living without their accounts being suspended/terminated with zero notice, and I’m standing with them in solidarity and ditching this platform due to their ties with PayPal.

I’m starting over, which means my funds are back to zero.

This is where OnlyFans comes in, and if you’re quick you can snap access up for an introductory rate of $5 while I get things running!

As you’re familiar with here, OnlyFans is a rolling subscription, charged monthly and you are free to cancel whenever you like. Importantly, the 5,400+ photos on my private blog are still available to you, and when you sign up to OnlyFans you’ll receive the new password!

From here on out, I will continue to update the b-sides blog and you will receive all new content notifications via OnlyFans.

I hope you’ll join me.

Thanks!

Photo Tour pt.7: Couch Surfing in Carlisle

Carlisle was a new place for the both of us, amplified by our notable lack of friends in the area. Years ago I became a part of CouchSurfing, a network for travellers looking for fellow travellers to hang with and a place to crash. My account hadn’t been active for years, so I deemed it best just to start over so I created a joint account with Jazz in a bid to get somewhere to sleep.

Our only real option in Carlisle was a guy called Adrian. He’s an experienced couchsurfing host with some 70-odd references over the past decade of being on the site. We had none. Fortunately, he got back to us and agreed to let us crash a few nights, and we ended up staying in his home for the best part of a week.

Carlisle is a quiet town and is sprinkled with some pretty intriguing artwork if you look hard enough.

The ACT Prague

I arrived in Prague last night to visit my friend Des and I’m staying for a couple of weeks in the artist community theatre (The ACT Prague).

I’ll inevitably post up a ton of stuff from the time I’m spending here, but this is just a quick post to say that if you happen to be in Prague on the 17th February then they’re hosting ‘Portraits with Lee Jones‘, and serves as an opportunity for you to be photographed by me.

It felt weird and uncomfortable and pretentious writing that, but needs must.

I’ll be hanging around from 11am-6pm and if you’re in the area you can book 30 minutes for a community friendly price of 100czkbook through the venue here.

I’m pretty excited to be doing this, so hopefully it’ll be a success and more than one person will show up.

Also, now is a good time to sign up to my patreon because I’ll be posting a ton of photos from here on there first before I get back home to even think about blogging everything.

Right, I’m out of here. This dog needs my attention.
