Adventures in 35mm

I’ve not really been taking my digital camera out with me as often as usual. Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing a lot more shoots, so it’s feeling somewhat of a chore now – I don’t know.  Though I have been carrying around a wee Halina point and shoot 35mm camera almost daily, and snapping whatever I find interesting.

I’ve got a ton of old 35mm waiting to be processed, and I got a couple of those rolls developed too so a couple frames of those have made their way below, but most photos from the past couple weeks.

Because of this, I’ve created a new instagram primarily for my 35mm photos. You can follow that here. I am feeling enthused for a change so will probably enjoy using this instagram for around another week before I start to hate on it. So get it while it’s hot.

Right, here’s a selection of photos I dig for whatever reason, along with a couple of fuck ups because that’s the beauty of film, right?

Pancake Day!

Friends have asked me to create a food vlog before for some of the vegan food I cook. I was briefly involved with a food blog at one point, but basically, what I am getting at is – I still haven’t. I probably won’t. But, the other day I did film JAZZebell_ making vegan pancakes for Pancake Day.

Obviously she did it naked, and got very weird during the process so it’s not exactly a great ‘how to’ video, but it is definitely worth a watch if you want to see her deepthroat a banana, spank herself with a spatula, and get heavy involved with strawberries and cream.

Introducing: A.

A week before the Valentine’s shoot, A. came over to mine for our first shoot together. It was also our first time meeting in person, too. We followed each other on Instagram for a while and then arranged for her to come over to Glasgow for some balcony photos. I met her in town. I think there was a loose plan to go out for a walk, but the weather wasn’t great and so we just shot in the flat instead and I cooked some food.

Valentine’s Day: Strawberries, Cream, & Ballgags.

Valentine’s Day – not something I tyically get involved in. However, a bunch of my friends were in town and everyone came over to the flat. The plan was to hang out and take some photos.

Valentine's-5

I didn’t particularly know what to expect, as the lasses were out picking stuff up to shoot with while I was just making sure my flat wasn’t an absolute state for their arrival.

Not being one for full on planning, I was half expecting a relatively quick cutesy group valentine’s shoot.

Imogen, Scarborough Castle

Similar to most connections on Facebook, people end up being added through occasional interactions over mutual friends posts, and I guess that’s how I connected with Imogen. It was a fairly long time until we actually met in person, and that was just a chance passing some point last year with Jazz. That said, we had loosely arranged to try and get together to take photos sometime before that, but for whatever reason it never happened.

When I was visiting the other week, Imogen dropped me a message out of the blue and said she’d be down to do some photos now I was around again. I had a free morning before having to go take photos of my pal Alastair, and so that was set.

JAZZebell_, Scarborough

I’m back from a week in Scarborough. Had a lot on, took a lot of photos. So it’s gonna take me some time to sort through everything. However, I have just sorted these of JAZZebell_.

jazzebell_, scarborough-2

As Jazz is back in the area, and as she’s in a bedroom that is completely hers for the first time in longer than I’ve known her, she wanted to take some photos. Admittedly composition went out of the window as it was just a super quick dumb set that was needlessly explicit. Continue reading “JAZZebell_, Scarborough”

Wyndford Balcony Portraits (vol. 1)

I’ve yet to have an official flat warming, but since moving into my flat I’ve had a small amount of people over while I’ve been in various stages of kitting the place out.

The balcony I have isn’t huge, but it’s still a fair enough size that hanging out there isn’t a problem.

Anyway, here’s a selection of photos from the balcony so far. If anyone in Glasgow reads this, get in touch – I’m always looking to meet/photograph new faces.
