Me and Omar have been tryna hang out and shoot photos for a while but our schedules rarely ever allow for it, and he’s always super busy getting away in nature and shit and taking photos.
Yesterday though, we managed to get together and shoot in the city.
The sun was beaming, to the point where I thought I was gonna burn. The Clyde was lined with folks soaking it up.
We’re pretty much neighbours, so we all met in Partick and headed toward town.
Not just a photographer, Omar is also a videographer. He films a whole bunch of stuff for the BBC, street artists, MC’s. He vlogs regularly, too. There’s always something going on with him, which isn’t surprising as he’s one of the most energetic and charismatic mother-fuckers I know.
Though his climbing skills are lacking.
We opted to get up high to start with, so headed to the SEC Car Park.
The cool thing about going out with other photographers that are into their own things is that all the photos are going to be completely different, and I’m looking forward to seeing the other perspectives from the day.
I brought out an old manual Pentax 1.7 50mm to use on the X-Pro2 to try my luck at some more portraits.
Despite barely surviving a ridiculous fall from of couple of stories in the carpark (the less said about that, the better), I can still use it; The damage has made me unable to focus at anything beyond 3 feet… good job it’s being used for portraits then.
We made our way along the Clyde.
Time for another portrait of the handsome bastard.
After grabbing a drink we headed south of the river, to try and get into an abandoned building that Omar was last in like two years ago.
I’m surprised it was still there.
The wall was pretty hard to navigate over so we hung back, but Jeffels threw himself over like some weirdly possessed ferret and then scaled the building right up to the roof.
Look closely, and you can see him in this photo…
We continued around some of the seemingly quieter parts of Laurieston and I took a bunch more portraits before heading back home.
We parted ways, and I think we’re getting together next week to go out and shoot a bunch more with my pal Jazz (and Kitty, if she’s here then!).
If you dug these photos, I posted another 84 from the day over on my B-Sides Blog which can be accessed for $7.50 via my Patreon Page. If you check it out there’s also other rewards like having photo-prints and Instax delivered to your door each month. All funds directly help me complete projects and keep shooting photos.
Nice photos pig boy. The one of the old guy by the Clyde in particular.

This made me laugh.
Cheers! The weather was great for people spotting. I see you were out today, so it’ll be back to being a hermit for the foreseeable, aye?
