Last week I was due down in York as I had to give evidence in court.
The train was quiet which was bliss, but the whole process turned into a shambles as I was notified of the hearing being cancelled after I had arrived. Brilliant.
It ended up being quick stay over, so I dropped Kitty a message as she lives in Newcastle and figured we could shoot some photos and I could split my journey back to Glasgow in half. She was game. Result.
From this point on, the photos get a bit NSFW – so continue or look away or whatever wanna do.
No matter what our intentions, our shoots never go as planned. Though I’m into that, as it makes it more of an adventure – especially when we’re travelling places.
Due to happenings out of our control, we both met up later than we would have liked. By the time we got a bus to nowhere, we were really pushed for time so we found this river, climbed down the bank which looked like it was out of public view but probably wasn’t, and started shooting.
The entire shoot was all done in less than an hour, and we got around 150 usable photos. I’m not posting them all here though, as my blog is bound to run out of space eventually and I’m broke as shit for maintaining my websites (hey, buy my prints!).
I’d brought along a few shirts that I’d designed and had printed a while ago (I have since sold out of them), and we took a few photos in that, too. Because why the hell not, eh?
It turned out we were shooting next to a dead cat. It was grim; Exposed skull, bubbling black water-logged flesh… you get the idea. If you’re that interested, you might see it somewhere in the photo below.
We’d come this far, so we stayed put for five more minutes and then we got gone.
On the way back, it was starting to get dark but the lighting by this positive bridge* was screaming for a photo.
*’Positive Bridge’ sounds weird, but all the graffiti was seemingly there to make you smile. It was all uplifting and shit. I should have gotten more photos of it.
Anyway, that’s that!
Hopefully it won’t be quite so long before I see Kitty again. I think she’s more than due a visit to Glasgow and we can hang out and shoot more rad stuff up here.
